Avlaw Aviation Consulting Raises Funds for Cancer Research in Sydney Airport Fun Run

Our team represented Avlaw Aviation Consulting at Sydney Airport’s Fun Run to raise funds for cancer research.

Team members Fallon and Amalina ran down RWY 07/25 for a 500 metre dash and then a 1 kilometre run, participating in Sydney Airport’s Family Fun Runway Run.

The annual fundraiser has been running since 2015 to raise funds for Cure Cancer Australia, an organisation that supports researchers in their mission to cure cancer. The organisation has funded over 500 cancer research grants over the course of half a century.

Over 250 people raced across the tarmac, marking the start of the Airport’s Christmas Giving Appeal. In 2017, the Appeal raised over $400,000. Over Christmas, the appeal is planning to support funding for young researchers who come up with innovative ideas in the fight to cure cancer.

Avlaw Aviation Consulting’s director Amin Hamzavian was unable to run due to injury.
