With increasing work health safety requirements and obligations being imposed on operators and employers, changes need to be made within the workplace. Avlaw has been assisting organisations with this transition by improving operating systems and procedures to provide for a safer work environment. This trend has been even more evident in the aviation industry with the handing down of a recent landmark decision by the High Court of Australia.
Since the High Court decision in the Outback Ballooning case, aviation businesses are now becoming more aware of their WHS responsibilities within an aviation environment. Avlaw have been active in the aviation industry by conducting safety reviews and audits of the workplace from both an operational and occupational perspective. We have also assisted organisation and enterprises with the integration of WHS requirements into their Safety Management Systems to provide a fully Integrated SMS or iSMS.
Through Avlaw’s extensive experience within the aerospace sector we come face-to-face, on a daily basis, with the numerous common hazards. Our consultants have the skills and knowledge required to establish, maintain and evaluate an organisation’s work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs in their work area and to ensure a safe workplace, and in accordance with WHS statutory requirements.
