International Aviation Law: A Practical Guide (2nd Ed) Now Released!

Avlaw Aviation Consulting is proud to announce that our Founding Director, Professor Ron Bartsch, has released his newest edition of International Aviation Law: A Practical Guide.

Aviation law is not just a topic for lawyers. It directly affects the day-to-day operations of aviation professionals. The second edition to International Aviation Law introduces all the branches of law, and how they apply in an aviation context, in an accessible and easy-to-read format.

The book discusses the nature of international law, tort law, contract law, employment law, criminal law and more. It discusses airport operations, carriage by air, maintenance organisations and features a brand new chapter on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). It also provides updated discussions on ASEAN’s Single Aviation Market, the impact of Brexit on aviation, the MH17 and MH370 disasters and the Germanwings tragedy.

The book has received praise from experts in the field. Lim Kim Hai, the Executive Chairman of Regional Express, said:

This book explains, in a digestible yet articulate style, the basis and structure of the law as it applies to the modern world of aviation. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has involvement in the aviation industry“.

John Dawson, aviation lawyer and President of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand, said:

Aviation has an intrinsically international context and so does the law governing it … This text is an essential tool not just for lawyers, but for all who work in the aviation industry“.

The new book is available from Routledge here.
